He went home to put DD to bed, so I was obviously ok with him going. :)</p> <p>I really did need him during my births, though. Especially before I got the epidural and during pushing, DH really helped me through every contraction. We have pets and live close to the hospital, so I told DH to go home.<br /> At 5am I rolled over in bed and my water broke and I immediately went into labor. I could barely dial the phone, haha</p> <p>DH was great and of course I wanted him present, but I was so focused and 'in the zone' I know if I had to, I definitely would have been fine on mine own. </p>
