Our apartment is old (1890s) and we don't have designated bedrooms (none of the rooms has closets) so we could theoretically have 3 bedrooms but we have decided that our kids will sleep in the same room when the time comes. That said, LO doesn't have any toys in his bedroom, they are all in the room I use as an office/playroom/guest room. Well, we had 3 bedrooms but our 3rd bedroom was downstairs in our basement, which also had a second entrance. Way too far for our comfort.</p> <p>DS had his own room for exactly 3 year until his little sister was born. She slept in our room for the first 5ish weeks but she only woke up once a night between 6-8 weeks then started sleeping through the night so DS's sleep wasn't interrupted. They did fine together! We bought a new house so they could have their own rooms and DS says he misses sharing a room with her.
