That was it.</p> <p>Then we moved when he was 6 weeks old.</p> <p>In this new house, I painted but now I hate the color (and it took me a year to get around to it). I've hung up a few pictures and nautical themed stuff haphazardly, but it's a hot mess right now. I had my mom help me make custom bedding which felt like enough to me! We had a very generous friend make a quilt we hung on the wall. Eventually I got a few prints. That's it, no painting. </p> <p>For #2 it is looking about the same. We own now but I still don't want to paint because it's a pain for resale. If we have another girl I will probably re-use the bedding! The paint is totally stark white and it's taking us a long time to redo the room! So he's kind of living in a white box for now. After he was born, we hung a few items like a needlepoint I embroidered with his name, his baptism certificate, and eventually other items got framed and hung as well (a "my first year" photo frame, a shadowbox frame with items from his birth and his birth announcement). But that's the extent we went with the decor. We bought a decorative curtain but it came down when we installed the blackout shade.</p> <p>We have since moved, and all the walls are white. We recently hung all of the framed items in both kids' rooms, but other than that, we have zero decor in either room. I'd love to do some wall decals, or a wallpaper, or SOMEthing but even just paint costs $$$ that I don't have right now. But I'm kind of ok with the no decor because they spend almost zero time in their room awake! </p> <p>I just want to see if I'm alone in the stark kid room club ;) </p>
