I wanted to buy the adorable stickers to put on his onesies and take a picture every month. But the first month was so crazy that it never happened, and it seems like it's kind of pointless once you've missed the first couple months.</p> <p>I do take pictures of him constantly, but I've totally failed at having a setup for them. I also never write anything down, I suck. But I am on a FB group with a bunch of moms from WB who had their baby the same month as me. I've considered going all the way back to see what I said to them in the early months and using that to fake like a journal entry per month. It wouldn't be totally fake though...I mean, it is stuff I actually said. I would skip a week, and then it was so easy to give up. Same happened with weekly pregnancy photos. Only reason I'm keeping up now is because I'm using an instant camera and don't care about consistency of location or anything like that. I keep them simple though so I'll actually do them! I knew if I made it too complicated, I would be over it. I'm a firm believer in doing things that make sense for you! Our shots take 5-10 minutes and then I put them together in photoshop because that's easy for me. The lighting is different, the blanket under him is different, and his position is always different. I made a photo book (which has yet to be finalized and printed) of Lorelei's first year, and it has photos from each month, but they are just lifestyle photos and excerpts from our day-to-day. I think the monthly pictures are cool, but I have an all-the-way-from-HS hangover about not liking to do things that are trendy.
