Resurrecting thisnif possible because this week I started getting insane night sweats (so bad I have to change) and bacne that hurts! I’ve never had bad skin, and both these things are deal breakers for me. Calling my OBGYN tomorrow 🙄

If you’ve done 4 packs or 3 full months and are having issues I would switch

I have had a lot of spotting on the pill after having my second. it was really bad on the minipill when I was nursing, with more bleeding days than non-bleeding days. I used condoms for a few months, and had regular periods, but I don't want to use condoms long term. I went on a regular pill after weaning, and had bad spotting, but not quite as bad as on the minipill. I switched after 4 months, and I am still having some spotting, but not as bad. Basically, I am having a period in the third week of pill. I am hoping to try a different one to see if it helps. None of the other birth control options seem appealing right now.

Sorry you're dealing with this too. I hope you get predictability soon!

I’m in this boat right now. I think I’m on my third pack? Other than getting my period at an unpredictable time I don’t have many symptoms anymore so am nervous to switch. I’m on lo-Loestrin 24, and my period is like a day or two.

I was on BC on and off from about ages 14-21 for amenorrhea and i never had spotting, but i had weight gain with one, went crazy on ortho tri cyclen, and couldn’t be on anything but low dose estrogen because of yeast infections (gross but I have no control over it and we tried lots of things including of course diet change and probiotics) and eventually chose to go off and let everything take its course.

Right now the benefits outweigh the unpredictability for me: I have PCOS and was having unpredictable and LONG periods, and awful ovulation pain.

I've had spotting between periods ever since I stopped breastfeeding (a year ago). My doctor prescribed birth control pills to see if that would regulate it. I'm on my fourth pack and I'm still having issues. I spot a day or two more than I did pre-pills, but the flow is much lighter (I don't even need a panty liner). I also have sore breasts all month and some nausea during the first week.

Did anyone take more than 3 months to adjust? I'm wondering if I should keep waiting it out (since my spotting is getting lighter and my period itself has gotten shorter) or if I should try a different pill.
