With LO1, I did tummy time but he had a bit of a flat head because he was also on his back a lot (slept in Rock n Play, sat in bouncy chair, had activity mat with things hanging from above, etc.). This time I'm letting LO2 pretty much hang out on a blanket on the floor and he's slept in his crib from Day 1 in hopes he'll move his head around more. We were given advice to start tummy time on daddy's bare chest as a newborn and LO really enjoyed it! There were no studies or advice we saw that actually showed tummy time was beneficial.
