i have heard that about the earlier bedtime but that is way too early for when i have to work. i can't pick her up from day care that early. i think we'll just have to live with driving her all around if we want her to nap -- was just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat!

it seems counter intuitive, but often an earlier bedtime helps. like 6pm. that might set her internal clock to be tired enough for a nap...

@mrs bee - stroller doesn't work unless we want to walk around for hours. it took half an hour for her to fall asleep while driving her around yesterday. it's a lot easier to drive for an hour+ than walk around for an hour+!

@blushink - no, not even once. She's a mess come bedtime! I have been debating whether or not to put her to bed later but the only problem is that I can't have her wake up later on the mornings when she does go to day care. We need her up by 6:45 am on those days so I'd hate to deprive her the good night time sleep that she does get. The time change is coming up soon anyway so I don't want to mess around with her bedtime right now.

I do have a friend whose two kids both stopped napping at 1 year so I guess it does happen. Unfortunate for us both!

most kids drop naps at 3, so 17 months is def early to drop all naps. will she nap in the stroller?

Hmmm doesn't nap at all. Not even 1x? I've heard kids eventually skipping the morning nap. I imagine she's exhausted come bed time?

Have to tried putting her to Bed later ? Maybe longer awake stretchs will make her nap? Clearly this might be a bad idea. I'm not at that stage yet. Good luck

LO is 17 months now and hasn't napped since she was 15 months. I thought surely it would be a phase but now after 2 months...maybe not? I've tried CIO, rocking, co-sleeping: nothing works except for a long car ride, which I would rather not do as I'm usually tired myself. Luckily she sleeps from 7 pm to 7 am so at least I know she isn't short a lot of sleep. Just wondering if anyone else had their LO drop all naps early on?
