Why look, a thread about my life.

Since my child became a toddler who didn't walk (just started at 16 months) I've developed some bad back problems. I'm not super strong to start, and it's been a big issue. I discovered the joys of chiropractors, and I've got a whole exercise and conditioning plan in place that has REALLY been helping.

Don't be like me! Strengthen your core and back muscles before toddler-hood. Some days I am REALLY miserable.

@MamaMoose: I have found that as I slowly recover my core strength that my back feels better, too.

@AutumnLove: I never thought my wrists would be impacted by pregnancy! For me it was really a problem while BFing. To help, I would roll up an A+A blanket to put under my wrist for support while BFing.

Um YES. I was in constant pain. So I do stretches every day and back exercises every other day along with Pilates to help strengthen my core. It has helped. I wore the carrier today to lunch and I didn't feel as much pain/soreness as I did a few weeks ago.

@MsLipGloss: good point about the core strength. Obviously pregnancy killed that!!

It has definitely put a strain on my back! I attribute at least some of the back strain to doing so much bending with reduced ab/core strength.

I swear between nursing, bending over to change diapers, and carrying the car seat my back is KILLING me!! I need to start strengthening it at the gym I guess. I'm laying in bed with LO right now and I feel like I'm boring her but I'm not sure I can even stand up and hold her at the moment!!
