I've worked in youth social services and want to affect "the system" positively in any way I can. I hope to do foster care as well, but my husband isn't sure about that. But it's never been anything that I've felt compelled to do as a calling. Pregnancy hasn't really changed that for me. I love being pregnant, even though the physical aspect has been challenging. I wouldn't have a problem being pregnant a second time (though, maybe talk to me in another 4 or 8 weeks or so). Before I really wanted to adopt, but now that I've had my own, gone through pregnancy (which was awful awful awful for me due to migraines) I just loved having my own. </p> <p>I'm still open to the idea and very willing to adopt if for some reason I can't have as many babies as I want. I used to tell my mother that there was no way in hell a baby was coming out of me. I wanted to be like Josephine Baker who adopted kids of different backgrounds and had a little UN family.</p> <p>After my pregnancy and complicated delivery I was convinced that I NEEDED to adopt if we had a second child. Ha. </p> <p>I've had an easy pregnancy in comparison to others, but I didn't realize how taxing it is on your body and how worn out everything seems to get (skin/muscles/bones/etc.) So if we could grow our family without me having to be pregnant again, I am very open to that. </p>
