@Revel: if you feel like you still need it maybe you can try cookies or grinding the oats and mixing into a smoothie.

@autumnlove: @yin: @4lulu4: @JerricaBenton: Thanks for chiming in! I think I may try dropping it next week after I can plan alternative breakfast and see how it goes. I'll try to remember to circle back and let you know how my n=1 experiment goes.

I don't have any supply issues but when I eat oatmeal I have a very noticeable increase in milk that day.

With baby number 1, I ate oatmeal and took fenugreek pills because I made just enough breastmilk. But I wasn't too consistent with eating oatmeal after a while.. but I did continue taking the pills. And I didn't see a dip in production.

With baby number 2, i'm not consistent with eating oatmeal. And I don't see a difference when I do and don't eat it.

...yea.. i'll just have to be one of those trials to see if it has an effect on you. good luck!

I didn't consistently eat oatmeal daily but didn't seem to notice any difference in supply when I did.

My supply is pretty good and I don't see any difference when I eat oatmeal. I think it worked when I was pumping/nursing baby 1.

I've been eating oatmeal for breakfast almost every day since LO was born. She's now 4 months. I'm kind of sick of it and hoping to get back to paleo eating, but I'm concerned about a dip in supply if I stop eating it. I WOH full time and right now pump pretty much just exactly what LO needs.

So, did anyone stop oatmeal and see a dip, or notice any marked impact with it?

Because I've been eating it since the beginning I can't say what effect it's had. I know the answer is just to trial it but I was curious what others experience had been.
