Exercise lengthened my cycles, and I already have a naturally long cycle (34 days)!

I started exercising this month, and my cycle went from my usual 28 days to 34 days. I hope that my next cycle is back to 28 days, unless I"m lucky and get my BFP this month!

Exercising helped me to have more regular cycles. Before my BFP, I had been running regularly for four years, and I naturally have a 30-35 day cycle, but it kept me to that unless I was super stressed out.

It's funny that I just came across this. When I look back at my charts I notice that September and October were my most "normal" cycles at 33 days in length with a clear temp shift after o. These months also happen to be when I was super into exercising and eating very clean - and drinking a ton of water daily. I have no idea if there is a relationship, after that, sandy happened and the inlaws moved in, and my gym schedule and eating has gone haywire along with my cycle. I'm trying to get back to eating clean, working out at least 4 to 5 times a week and see if that puts me back on schedule. At the very least ill be back in shape! I am just coming off a 46 day cycle.

I've noticed that whenever I get back to running (and I don't do long distances), my cycles get longer. I never figured out if it was just the running or the few pounds I lost, so I always ended up giving up on the running.

@pui: I wish I saw my cycle getting shorter. Maybe this first one will be out of whack, then they'll start getting shorter.

Yes. I started working out 6 days a week for an hour while on BCP (a while ago) and my periods starting coming a week early before the placebos!

I started a running plan (the couch to 5 k plan) 3 full weeks ago, and this month, I'm noticing a longer cycle. I've changed my diet a bit too, but considering I've only lost 2.5 pounds in 3 weeks, I didn't think it was too extreme. Did your cycle change when you started to workout? If so, was it shorter? Longer? Also, I wasn't entirely lazy before, but this is a big change.
