Two boys would have been adorable but I did think about mourning my chance for a daughter and I think it's okay to mourn the idea of something. I'm a big proponent of gender neutral parenting, and it goes against everything I stand for to strongly want one gender over the other. But really? I've always, always wanted a girl. We were planning on two, because I didn't want just one (DH has always been fine with one), but recently I've realized that I think one will be a better fit and make us a happier family. But honestly, if I wasn't having a girl, I'm not 100% certain I could say that. And that really bugs me.
