Honestly, it works great for my LO. I shushed, swaddled and swung the LOs I nannied before I'd even heard that was a 'method'. </p> <p>That said..my LO hates being swaddled. She loves her hands near her face, so I don't stop her. I do position her in a cradle hold with her body turned in belly to mine and swing her side to side (I swing at my hips left to right). I also shush, but I've found the white noise giraffe we have is the best thing ever. She doesn't wake up when it turns off, either, and it saves all my spit :P</p> <p>She takes the soothie pacifier but self-soothed with her hands before I gave it to her.
