I've googled false positives, but there's lots of mixed info out there. I guess I'll keep testing? and use the digital as a backup. The problem with these ones (I used them last month) is that when they dry, they always darken up at the edge and look positive. </p> <p>Here's a pic of a bunch of mine. The bottom one was "fresh" while the others had dried. Plus your opks are darker on that day. The OPKs just indicate a surge. It doesn't verify that you O'd or even that you are going to O that day. (12-36 hours I think is what I read). I usually use them just to verify my other fertility signs. </p> <p>I test 2x a day FMU (its usually SMU, because I get up so many times at night) and in the evening, and my FMU's are always just a little darker, but last month once I o'd they were very light again. I used the wondfo's and I can definately tell the difference. I wasn't sure I would be able to, but it was as clear as day when they were positive and when they weren't.</p> <p>I would also second temping. I was pretty resistant. Then my second month of charting, I got my CM/CP fertility signs early, and then again about a week and a half later. So there was almost 2 weeks where I had no clue what was going on. That month I purchased a Thermometer. BUT they shouldn't have told you to use FMU! LH builds up during the day but you're not as likely to see a positive with FMU, so if you do it's likely that your surge started late the day before. Also, are you temping? I used the target up&amp;up brand (which I would NOT recommend due to my experience, btw). In the instructions it says to use FMU. So the pic below are tests from 4 days, all of which look positive to me (as dark or darker than control. I also took them in the afternoon each day and got all negatives. I think my urine was too diluted bc I'm not used to doing this, but idk. I just included the AM pics here). </p> <p>Sooooooo.... when do you think I got my surge?? Did it even happen?? I was thinking the lines looked the darkest on 8/29, but they all look so similar to me. This morning (8/31), I also used CBE digital and got a negative.
