Nope, but I didn't have any morning sickness and I slept a lot on the weekends and was in bed by 8 most nights. I was working a lot of overtime when I was pregnant, I was feeling that good!

I had a hard time during the first trimester since I was always so sick/tired, but I still managed to be pretty productive. I was super productive during the last months of pregnancy because I had a ton of crap that needed to get wrapped up before maternity leave. I felt like I was constantly running around!

I actually feel like I've been a bad employee since I came back from leave. I'm always thinking about the baby and even when I try my hardest to focus, I can't help but be distracted by thoughts of her all day :( Tomorrow is my last day before I start my new gig as a sahm (yay) so it's been really hard to focus :)

Not really. I was able to get by with similar productivity and quality of work without revealing to anyone that I was pregnant until 18+ weeks.

So terrible! I was a lifeguard and had to run off deck to vomit or have dizzy spells. I would be almost asleep instead of cleaning when off deck. I was super grumpy with kids and my co-workers (who were practically kids). By six months it hurt to pick anything up off the deck and practicing CPR made me vomit...so I went in mat leave.

And never came back.

Third trimester I have lost my motivation to work, all I think about is baby stuff all day. First wasn't the greatest due to sickness & tiredness but I still had motivation...that is gone!

@Mrs. Blue: Yes for all the reasons you mentioned!
Second Tri I lost most of the sickness and some of the exhaustion but my mind is just elsewhere.
I also feel super guilty about the doctors appointments.

Just counting down the days. 65 work days left!

I felt like I was, I did not put forth my usual effort while pregnant being sick and tired all the time.

My new boss thought I was doing a great job and kept saying she had never seen a preggo work like I did. So I can't complain :)

The first trimester was really rough in terms of exhaustion, because it was a constant, daily battle. I still billed my hours, but I certainly didn't bill any extra hours for a couple of months. Now, at almost 39 weeks, I am stuggling to be able to physcially tollerate my days and maintain concentration throughout the day. Friday is my last day in the office (I will be 39/1), although I will be available and working a little from home until delivery. I did really well the rest of the time, but the beginning and the end have definitely taken their toll!

I was the MOST MISERABLE PREGNANT WOMAN EVER. I worked in the field, which was hard because the second I got pregnant, I HATED being outdoors. Who would have thought?

I worked mostly with one older gentleman, who was quite old fashioned and incredibly sweet. He tried so hard to make things easier for me, offering to do parts of my job for me, pretending he wanted to go for extra coffee breaks and taking me with, etc, and I was SO impatient with him. I knew he was just trying to be helpful and supportive, but I was annoyed at being "coddled". I've apologized to him since I had the baby.

I was incredibly hormonal the whole pregnancy and very snappy with people, including my boss. And insistent that there was "nothing wrong with me" (which there wasn't, of course, but it seems like people are treating you that way sometimes).

@Mrs. Blue: Yes. The second tri was my most productive. During the first I was just worrying and researching and baby dreaming. Now that I’m 33 weeks I’m so distracted thinking about all things baby that I have a serious problem focusing!

Ah my previous post didn't make it:

To answer your question: in my first trimester - yes. I even had my boss sit down to talk to me about it. I wasn't ready to tell him about the pregnancy, so I just had to take it and chalk it up to being lazy or something.

It has been way better in the second tri since I've been feeling way better, but I worry things may decelerate as I start the third.

@Mrs. Blue: Are you in your first trimester?

In my first trimester I could barely keep my eyes open but I didnt want to tip them off to anything so I tried my best to just work as normal. In the 2nd and 3 rd tri I didnt take more time off such as longer lunches or leaving early for doctor appointments but I was stil a good employee and got all my work done. I just didnt want to give them any reason to start any trouble, I was a bit worried about my position to be honest

I'm the worst employer ever right now. I feel so icky in the morning that I just sit at my desk and try not to throw up. In the afternoon, I'm so tired that I don't accomplish much. All-in-all, no work is getting done right now. Furthermore, all I think about are the babies, and I'd rather be planning for them. Add all the doctor's appointments, and I'm a serious candidate for the worst employee ever.

Did/Does pregnancy make you feel like you do an awful job at work?
