I'm 34 weeks and the last week or so I've noticed if I'm reclining too far back and at a weird angle sometimes my legs will get uncomfortable or tingly or start to fall asleep. I shift positions a lot.

Yes like @Corduroy: I almost passed out during a late US. Your belly can weight down on an artery or something and that makes you feel faint.

@chopsuey: I think my college roommate used to call it a husband or boyfriend or something!

I remember thinking that "don't lay on your back" advice was stupid until I hit a point (don't recall when) when it became really uncomfortable. I had an especially hard time with hospital beds. Laying in them caused me to get queasy and faint. I almost passed out in an ultrasound because the tech insisted that I need to be reclined in that position. I stopped the ultra sounds four times and started getting dressed to leave before she let me do it on my side.

Haha I used to have one of those pillows and called it my husband pillow!
I didn't have a problem lying on my back or reclining when I was pregnant with DD. With DS, I couldn't do it after my 1st trimester. Had to side sleep!

Okay, I'm not that huge yet but I'm starting to have a hard time leaning back on my special pillow with the arms (what is that thing called anyway?). And I'm wondering if that's just how it is at this point and I need to just lean on my side?
