Unfortunately someone did with our first. When I was pregnant with him, I had bright red bleeding early on. We were going with a very natural homebirth midwife who did not do heart beat checks until 12 weeks, no early ultrasounds etc. so I was on pins and needles and when we told the in-laws at Thanksgiving before our first appointment we told them not to tell anyone and they promised they wouldn't. Except that they did. They announced it at a dinner party they hosted (we weren't there) and the following day I got texts and congrats from friends who had found out via the grapevine because of their announcement. Ugh, I was 9 weeks at the time and I found out that the baby stopped growing the following week. I couldnt believe it! Earlier that day he kept trying to force it out of me asking when's the last time I drank alcohol or how far apart would my DD and new baby be if I was pregnant now. I gave vague answers then he finally straight up asked me are you pregnant? I was like Excuse me?? I finally said yes but that I didn't want to talk about it because I was having some complications. Then he wanted to know what kind of complications I was having. Seriously?? Ugh I was so mad. Then he had the nerve to tell me that he could tell I was pregnant and if I was really trying to hide it I could have worn dresses instead of pants.
