When we did it, by day 3 she was having more accidents than day 1. But day 4 was a complete improvement and by day 5 she was catching on. For us, it was learning what she needed to do. We were trying to do everything for her (pulling her pants down, lifting her on the potty, etc) and she would just get mad and not do anything. Finally it clicked, to let her just do everything herself.

We didn't even try it, I will be honest, the thought of bottomless time wasn't appealing to me and I know my son wouldn't be cool with accidents all over the house (he's very sensitive and I knew that would upset him).

We used timed intervals. It worked.

Me! It didn't work for us at all!!! Thank you for this post!
We quitted after 1.5 days because we were both emotionally and physically traumatized. We were back in pull ups for 2 weeks, but I add in an hour of underwear time every day wherever I can. We had progress then. It also helped because LO learned that he had to remain clean and dry after that 1.5 days of hell. We are still working on it. Good luck to you!

If she's in underwear it's not the 3 day bottomless method that I have read about. Here's an article that I read over and over to prepare for our 3 day method - the key is having them bottomless. I know others have potty trained with other methods but this is the one that I've read about and that did with success at 24 months

We tried the 3 day method over the weekend and weren't very successful. After 2 days she was still wetting her undies like every 5 minutes, and when I asked her if she was wet she'd say "No" even though she was. On day 3 she was sick so I decided to just put her back in diapers and not push it.

Just fyi....She's 27 months, can pull down her pants, tells me when she poops (but not pee), watches me on the potty, and has peed on it 2x before. She also went like 2 drops on day 4.

I think now I'm just going to try to have her sit on the potty after waking up and before bath time (on days I'm home) and try more diaper free times over weekends. I was really hoping the 3 day thing would work, since I'm WOHM and it's hard for me to take time off, but I think we'll just have to take our time.
