DD1 met DD2 during the hour after she was born! She was with my inlaws and my parents were at the hospital, so when the doctor predicted the baby would be born between 4-4:30, my inlaws brought her so they could see us/baby before DD1's dinner and bed. it wasn't what I had in mind, and DD1 was kind of afraid of the baby, but no long term damage done. I had a c-section and he came in as soon as we were in our room (about 2.5 hours after baby was born). I have a video of it and it still makes me tear up! She came a few hours after DS was born, in between her dinner and bedtime. It was pretty quick, she got her gift from little bro, gave him some cuddles, and we took some pics. My big reasons are the hospital is about 25 miles away and it'll be cold and flu season. It was really sweet. She didn't stay too long though because there wasn't much for her to do. DH went home and brought her and my mom and brought a snack a long to help keep her occupied. I think she was happy to see me and was excited about being the Big Sister (my mom had bought her a special "Big Sister" pin to wear). It helped that she is a bit older (3) and had been prepped on the hospital meeting thanks to Daniel Tiger. We planned the timing that way, so that E could go with his grandparents from the hospital and stay with them a few days. DD met DS#1 two days after he was born (he spent 24 hours in the NICU, so we waited until he was out of there) and then DD and DS#1 met DS#2 when he was only a few hours old (it wasn't ideal, but DH had just broken his leg and couldn't drive to and from the hospital, so my mom brought them when she picked him up).
