We did a modified version (we never actually sat down, we stood), and it worked for both our kids. They were both sttn very early, using this method.

It worked for us but B was older, we did it when he was almost 2.5 so I think he understood better. But we were having the same problem as you, we had to stay in the room while he fell asleep.

Ha, so about 50/50 working and not working. I guess we'll try it for a few days - can't hurt and might help!

More or less. CIO did not work at all for either of our kids but they would fall asleep with us in the room and then eventually outside the room.

Yes! We used it during a period of seperation anxiety and it worked perfectly. Still some tears, and it was rough for a few days, but nothing like the intense screeching that was happening when I left her room before.

Nope, exact opposite of previous poster. Sleep Lady Shuffle was an absolute fail. Ferber worked like a charm.

Yeah it pretty much did. Our guy did not take to the Ferber method At. All. It was way too traumatic.

We did a modified Ferber sleep training with LO when she was younger, and it was a rough day or two but worked great. She had been going to sleep on her own and sleeping through, but the last few weeks she's had a lot of separation anxiety and we have to stay in her room until she's asleep - just sitting there, but she freaks if we leave.

We could do CIO again, I thought we might try the sleep lady shuffle since the only habit we have to break is our presence . Did it work for you?
