We didn't buy a new crib either, so when she was ready for a big girl bed, we just put the crib in his room and never looked back. Now that we are expecting LO#3, we will do the same thing. All 4 bedrooms are on the same floor and the 3 are very similar in size. #2 will probably co-sleep with us for the first 6 months at least anyways.
