Then after LO turned 3, we both felt ready again and now we are blessed to be expecting #2. It's funny, I think that he has been pretty consistent with wanting 2 but would have been one and done if that's what I wanted but I went from wanting 3-4 to maybe just 1 and settled on 2. Where we don't agree is how far we're willing to go to have another child. If our next and last embryo doesn't become a baby then I'm ok with stopping. He would want to pursue more treatments. We agreed to start with 1 and then reevaluate. Our first baby was -and still is! - very challenging and, for a while, I thought perhaps we should stick with the one, but our second has been such an enjoyable experience so far I'm back to wanting 3...... and DH is firm that we are sticking to 2. We both wanted at least one, and after she was born, we were both like "no way we're having another" until she was past 1, then we were both on board for one more. My husband definitely wanted kids, so we put off the engagement until I figured it it. I finally decided that I did want a kid, but only one. He said that worked for him, so we got married and had our son.
