I became more emotional when I got married, but that's because I was finally in a loving relationship. I had a long term boyfriend before that and the relationship was nothing but bad news and shouldn't have dragged on for 7 years.

We were never a really emotional or empathetic family. I have learned to be a lot more empathetic as I have spent more and more time with my husband and now my daughter. I'm definitely more emotional now with a lo.

I used to have the emotional range of a teaspoon. I've been progressively more emotional over the last 8 years (graduated college, joined Army, major medical problems, started dating husband, kicked out of Army due to medical problems, got married, TTC, pregnancy.) 'Course, I've also seen progressively more terrifying elements of the world. Sometimes I wish I had my old emotional range - but if I have emotional children, I know having an emotional range of my own will be of help.

@MamaMoose: haha. This could be it. I seem to be pretty regulated now, but maybe my hormone are still out of whack!

I've always been an emotional person hence I cry at everything.
But since i've had a child, anything child related makes me cry even more.

I have also always been emotional. I am a big crier (during arguments, during movies, etc.). It feels good!

I've also always been a bit a emotional. But since getting pregnant I cry a lot more. And oddly enough always at happy things, not sad things. When I feel like someone is going out of their way to be nice to someone else I lose it. So weird.

If I remember correctly from your blog posts in the last year or so you have been going on and off birth control? I wonder if the regulation of your hormones has something to do with you being more emotional lately?

My friends have always said I have no heart. Even though I've always been very empathetic in real life, I'm not super emotional. For instance, until this year, I had only cried at one movie in my entire life. When we got engaged and married, I noticed that I had become more emotional about certain things. I even found my eyes watering at the occasional movie. Weird. Now that we're getting ready to TTC, I've found myself even crying at commercials or TV. I don't know what's wrong with me! My theory is that as I experience more new stages of life, it opens me up to really empathize and know what I would feel like in more situations. I'm sure after I have a child, I'll probably be even more in touch with my emotions.

I'm just wandering if anyone else notice themselves becoming way more emotional after any of these new life stages. Am I the only crazy one learning to cry at movies?
