Thanks everyone!! No, I wasn't actually on Diclegis, just unisom/B6. But I'm still nursing my 13 mo old so I only wanted to take the unisom right after I nursed him at night (and wouldn't be nursing again until 11-12 hr later)

The good news is I am FIIIIIINALLY starting to feel better (I'm almost 17 weeks! So it's about time. Haha) Still taking B6/Unisom at night because that's when I start feeling nauseous..but hopefully that will be getting better soon too!

Sounds like you're not actually on Diclegis? Maybe you need the unisom early in the day as well. B6 alone did nothing for me. I never bothered with the B6/unisom combo but Diclegis (prescription) worked wonders for me.

Also, morning sickness totally comes and goes, especially around that time. Hopefully you will soon be over the worst of it anyway. I stayed on Diclegis until 16 weeks and then I was fine.

Edited: Just realized this post is already 3 weeks old so I hope you are feeling better by now. :)

I was on diclegis and like @2littlepumpkins: found that my nausea got worse around 12 weeks, which was the only point where I had trouble keeping down liquids. I thought I was going to be sick the entire pregnancy, but it got much better around the start of the second tri and I was finally able to stop diclegis around 18 weeks. I normally took under the max dose and only took the max dose when I had work events for which I couldn't be sick. I think it did help when I was on the max dose, though I still felt ick. I hope you feel better soon!

@bees_knees: It's possible you need something stronger than diclegis. Maybe your nausea is worse.

I had HG (severe nausea) and the act of taking a pill would make me throw up even more. I couldn't take any pills at a point. I also was throwing up water and had to be hospitalized twice. They were able to give me a bunch of drugs and the pharmacy could tweak it if I needed something specialized. I ended up trying a bunch of things but I was on the patch behind the ear until 24 weeks pregnant with my twins. Let's hope you don't have HG. I was miserable.

@bees_knees: I always take the full dose in the early weeks ( one in morning, one at lunch and two at bedtime). I'm 34weeks and still taking two at bedtime. I definitely feel worse if I don't take it.. usually I still fee nauseous but stop puking with it.

I don't think I became resistant but I was surprised when between weeks 10-12/13 I had worse nausea instead of better. I had gone down a bit and during that time took the max dose of 4 diclegis/day, which helped, but I still felt mostly like crap most of the day. Hope it passes soon for you.

I've been taking B6/Unisom since my raging nausea started at about 6 weeks pregnant. I'm not sure it ever truly helped (I have been nauseous 24/7 despite the medication) but I started to feel minutely better weeks 11/12...I'm 13 weeks tomorrow and I. Feel. Like. Garbage. It seems like the B6/unisom is doing NOTHING now. Do you think my body just acclimated and I should up my dose? I currently take 50 mg B6 at 2 pm, and 50 mg B6/1 unisom at bedtime. (I experiment with taking 25 mg B6 in the morning and 25 mg at noon, but a double dose in the afternoon seemed to help the most)

Basically all of this to say: did you end up having to increase your Diclegis dose even at the end of the first trimester? Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful to be growing a seemingly healthy baby...but I'm so sick of being sick!
