@Alba4: Post c-section (times 2) a binder was given to me the hospital, they put it on my in the OR right before they moved me from the surgery table to the bed for recovery.

I bought a belly band for postpartum and wore it once it was so restrictive and uncomfortable when I was breast feeding. I also bought some high waisted shape wear underwear and that was my saving grace. It held in my tummy and I didn't feel like my organs were bouncing around and I was also super comfy while lounging around. I highly recommend them vs. the bands!

I did the belly bandit post partum. It was my second C-section. My first C-section, they gave me a wrap to use, but it gave me a terrible rash, so I assumed I was allergic to something in the fabric. I ordered a bamboo belly bandit to help, and it was awesome. Wore it about 2 months - longer than I did with my first because my incision opened on me!

I used an upsie belly by belly bandit during pregnancy for support. Postpartum, I have a bellefit dual closure girdle. I couldn't start using until 8 weeks pp as my C-section incision was open on both ends and infected... but I really like it when I do wear it. I'm 18 weeks pp now and should still be wearing it more often but it's kind of a pain to pee in (latches at crotch like a body suit).

My hospital gave me one after my CSection - it was just like a huge stiff elastic corset with Velcro. It made me feel a lot more secure and together, which I needed because I was running back and forth between my room and NICU for several days.

If you're having pelvic pain, I would recommend an SI belt-serola brand to be specific. It will be much more comfortable and more effective than a pregnancy belt. Postpartum I used a binder that I got on Amazon. Worked great and was only $12. I would size up though. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZFE9VQU/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I used the belly bandit PP for a couple weeks until I could fit into the squeem. The squeem isn't as adjustable as the belly bandit but I liked it better because it was more structured, therefore more supportive. I used them until about 6 weeks pp.

For those that did wear supports, can you recommend a brand? I most likely will have a c-section wound that's healing. Thanks!

Only postpartum. It helped me feel like I was all together. I only did it for a few weeks before the band was too big. I'm going to buy a smaller one this time.

With DS#1, I didn't wear or need any belly support during pregnancy and I never wore anything during my postpartum recovery. I felt my body basically returned back to normal after a few months (postnatal yoga helped too!)

I'm having more pelvic pain this pregnancy and have read that support bands may help. I've also been reading that binding your belly helps postpartum. Any experience here or suggestions?
