Before I had DD, my goal was a year. We had breastfeeding problems from the start though, so within the first few days I changed my goal to six months of breastfeeding or pumping. I made it to 7 and a half months of exclusive pumping. I made it to 18 months before pregnancy #2 made it too uncomfortable. I made short term goals of 3/6/9/12 months but once I passed that 12 month mark, I really wanted to BF until DD self weaned. I ended up weaning her around 14.5 months due to a peanut allergy and difficulties of me avoiding peanut products at my work place. Still very happy with my experience!!!
