(we started supplementing at about 10 months because I couldn't pump at work anymore).<br /> When DS was born my working status was different and I was going to be a SAHM so I looked forward to EBF for a whole year. Well he had other plans. After struggling through three months of bad latches, Lactation Appointments, OT appointments (I still don't know what that was suppose to do, but they gave us exercises to do with him to make him more aware of his mouth muscles), mastitis, and almost failure to thrive my Pediatrician said to supplement. That was the end, he didn't want to nurse after that and my milk supply was non existent. So, he only made it to three months. I think with pumping I can get her a few ounces a day through 7 months but not much past that. My main goal was 6 months but my long term goal was a year so I'm kind of bummed (DH said I bring it up all the time and he really wants me to realize how good I did). </p> <p>Did you breastfeed longer the second time? I feel like I can see what I can do next time to make it last longer so I'm hoping that'll help me go a full year or so next time. </p>
