I'm glad we did, but during delivery, I didn't think to check the setting and set it to Auto. So most of the birth/immediately after-birth pictures are all blurry and out of focus. He was totally fine but they took him to the nicu anyways, so I was constantly up there instead of in my room, so I didn't really have any "sit and look at the baby time" it was more "DUDE, when are they going to let me take home my perfectly healthy, 4-days-too-early-to-get-out-of-nicu-time baby" (hospital had auto nicu time for anyone under 35 weeks..... boo).
