Every time the nurses would stop by, they would ask if I needed anything and were always surprised when we would say we were good and commented on how easy we were. The third I went into labor but DH brought bagels in the next day after going home to see our older kids. Believe me, they ALWAYS appreciate it. It is such a bonus to have someone bring food. They seemed to appreciate it a lot. Everything from Granola bars to cookies, to fruit and pretzels. I actually didn't bring it, though. I had my SIL bring it when she came to visit later that day. They put it on the nurses' station counter and they all came in to say thank you and that it was rare anyone did something so nice for them. My water broke early with my second too, so I hadn't gotten anything together for the nurses. Once my epidural was in, I sent my DH out to Panera (5 min walk) to buy bagels and cream cheese for the L&amp;D staff. They were appreciative. I also had him buy bagels for the mother baby day shift and dessert for the night shift. (I'm a nurse and know that nurses do appreciate this. Purchased food, not homemade though. No one ever eats homemade food) </p>
