I lived in sports bras throughout the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. I also labored with a sports bra and usually nurse with a sports bra. I just find them way more comfortable. And I was able to find a couple that clip in the front so it's easy to get the girls in and out. :)

I had gone up two cup sizes by 16 wks and bought new bras. Two weeks later returned them and traded them in for some without underwires. Now at 26wks have intense rib ache just from the band, even without underwires, and have graduated to more of a sportsbra style. At my 16wk fitting I was told to hold off on nursing bras till at least 32wks because I'll keep growing. So haven't gone there yet. But sounds like you could?

I bought new regular bras. I wore pretty, lacy bras the whole time. haha. Theres just something about wearing nice, pretty undies that puts a little spring in your step.

Yes, definitely. I went from an A cup to a C cup during pregnancy and my band size increased. All of my beautiful former bras (as opposed to my plain ugly nursing bras) are still in my drawer in hopes they'll someday fit but I need to get real and toss em.

I just bought my first new one of pregnancy last weekend at 32 weeks. I was having trouble breathing in my regular band size so I got a stretchy Bravado nursing bra and it feels soooo much better.

I had to buy a new bra pretty early on because my ribs expanded and I went up a cup size. It was super uncomfortable. I only bought 2 or 3 new bras because I knew it was temporary.

Yes, very early on. I had to go up a size and do away with the underwire. I am on the verge of needing to size up again but I'm trying to hold off as long as possible (even though I'm only 26 weeks!).

I bought sports-bra-type nursing bras at about 30 weeks, and started wearing them almost exclusively then. I did have to buy another size up when my milk came in, so I'm glad I didn't spend a ton on pregnancy bras.

My first bra got way too snug somewhere in the late first/early second tri, so I switched to an older bra that I had from when I was heavier that was one size bigger in both cup and band. I made do with that until last week, when I bought one new real bra and two nursing bras. In all honesty, I should have switched months ago. My boobs have had no support, and they were killing me. I feel WORLDS better now, and I honestly don't even care if I have to buy more bras postpartum. I just couldn't do it anymore!

Yes -- I went from a B to a C in probably the first month. I never wore a nursing bra except the sleep ones, so I'm not planning on it this time around. Just a regular victoria's secret one, not too padded because the padding can make it a pain to nurse with.

I'm 26 weeks now and I've been wearing nursing bras since 20 weeks. My boobs could no longer be contained in my regular bras. I actually got a mix of underwire with the snap to nurse and comfy nursing stretchy bras with no underwire. Such a relief!

I bought new bras less than 2 months in. My ribs just expanded like crazy about 12 seconds after my BFP. I remember at around 6 weeks sitting at dinner, when no one knew I was pregnant, and feeling like I had a rubberband tight around my ribs. I had to unhook my bra halfway through!

So yeah, I bought two cheap ones early on, another cheap one half way through, then I gave up and wore stretchy pullover ones until the end. If I did it all over again I'd buy one or two halfway decent, though not super expensive, nursing bras around 6 months, since I didn't realize how adjustable they are.

Sucked because I always wanted bigger boobs, then when I finally had them they looked like crap in cheap unsupportive bras because everything else hurt too much.

I was able to wear my bra but had to get new nursing bras after giving birth to my first. I wore nursing bra and just wireless bras for a very long time. And now I can't go back to wired.

I bought new wireless ones from the gap around 25 weeks or so? My others didn't fit at all. I wear them now, too (9 months postpartum) and just pull my boob out to nurse. When she nursed more frequently I wore nursing bras, but I can get by wih regular ones now.
I was glad I did it, they were so much more comfortable and I was sick of underwire digging into me,

I had major rib issues during pregnancy, so I had to stop wearing underwire at 24 weeks. I just bought nursing bras in my new size and wore them from 24 weeks until I stopped pumping at 12 months pp. I would not recommend buying new regular bras since you are going to need nursing bras anyway. FWIW, I have two sets of nursing bras - ones that fit really well during pregnancy and the first few months postpartum, and some (in a smaller size) that fit better once my milk supply was established and I stopped being engorged between feedings.

Or did you hold on to yours until your delivered? Or did you start wearing your nursing bras early?

I am overflowing mine, but it's not terribly uncomfortable yet. I still have 7 weeks, so I'm wondering if I should hold out a little longer, or just start wearing a nursing bra.

What did you end up doing?
