We had to buy some 12 month size pants bc his 18m were falling off! Yet, the 12 month size pants usually aren't long enough. We went from 6 months to 12 and now we but 2t. I think being a girl helped a lot because longer shirts with leggings still look cute and dresses double as shirts when they're too short. So he was stuck in 9-12m for the past year, and he is finally big enough to fit into the 18-24m. The 1.5 year size is way too big on him. Now they are WAY too short. Anything that I have bought, I have gone strait to 2T. But, we got A LOT of 18-24m hand me downs, so they have gotten a lot of use. DD has really long limbs though, so she needs the length in her arms and legs that 2T gives. We have been doing 3T in leggings and turtlenecks though (because the 2T are REALLY hard to get over her head). Leggings from ON comes to mind...they are tiny. But I don't think she'll ever really be in that size, I think we'll just use it to go with either 18m or 2t.
