DD was in 12m for the longest time. At 16 months, she's finally growing out of Carter's 12m onesies. Everything else, she wears 2T. The 18m window was a lot shorter than I expected.

For us, since C has a longer torso and shorter legs, even though he can be 2T on top in some clothes, his 18 month pants are still way long on him.

LO has a long torso with shorter legs, so the fit on his pants was/is a lot better with the 18-24 months.

She wore exclusively 24m for a bit and now she wears both, depending on brand. Some 2T fits, some is too big.

Our son is in between 12-18 and 18-24 at 18 months old. We had to buy some 12 month size pants bc his 18m were falling off! Yet, the 12 month size pants usually aren't long enough.

We skipped a lot of sizes because she would outgrow stuff so fast. We went from 6 months to 12 and now we but 2t. I think being a girl helped a lot because longer shirts with leggings still look cute and dresses double as shirts when they're too short. (:

Most pants we buy are from H&M, and the sizing runs big. So he was stuck in 9-12m for the past year, and he is finally big enough to fit into the 18-24m. The 1.5 year size is way too big on him. Since my LO is on the smaller side, the 18-24m size is the perfect in between size before advancing to 2T.

I bought 18-24 months because Lo is skinny but tall. If we bought him pants in 2t, there's no way it will fit.

@googly-eyes: I agree with this, LO wore 18-24m leggings from Old Navy last winter from 8 months on. Now they are WAY too short.

Anything that I have bought, I have gone strait to 2T. But, we got A LOT of 18-24m hand me downs, so they have gotten a lot of use. DD has really long limbs though, so she needs the length in her arms and legs that 2T gives. We have been doing 3T in leggings and turtlenecks though (because the 2T are REALLY hard to get over her head).

Depends on the cut. C wore a lot of 18m and fit into 24m for like, a week. She's in 2T tops now but still fits into a lot of 24m bottoms.

My lo is younger than yours but we do have some 18-24m stuff that we use now. Leggings from ON comes to mind...they are tiny. But I don't think she'll ever really be in that size, I think we'll just use it to go with either 18m or 2t. But I guess we'll see...

We're doing 18M pants/onesies (just straight 18M, not 18-24), because both 24M and 2T pants were huge!

She does have one 18-24M sleeper, which she is totally swimming in compared to her normal 18M sleepers.

DS is 2 and I'm still buying 18-24 month pants for him because he's very thin and 2Ts fall off of him. But for my DD, we got out of 18-24 really fast, so it's definitely skippable.

I've just started buying 18-24 months since the season is changing and i figured they will last all winter this way. he still fits into 6-12 months but they are getting snug and pants are just fitting in length\

eta. oops, i meant i started buying 12-18. which wasn't your question, lol. i think it will be the same though, it will depend if he is changing sizes at the beginning or end of a season.

We have a few things that are 18-24mo and they're pretty long in the pants. I am buying 2T shirts because they're longer, even though they are skinnier so her belly doesn't fit in them that well yet. 2T pants are WAY too big in the waist right now.
