Growing up it was always title and last name.

Now in preschool my kids called their teachers miss first name. By elementary they started with mrs./ms./mr. Last name.

I teacher preschoolers through fifth grade. They are supposed to call me Mrs. Last name but sometimes they get confused and call me miss first name because the home room teachers call me by my first name. I have also been called miss science teacher, miss experiment lady, and miss science. I will answer to anything but then Say my name is Mrs. Last name.

Our kindergarten teacher was Miss Lastname. But she had an aid that we called by her first name.

In preschool it is Mr./Mrs. First Name. In Kindergarten it is Mr./Mrs. Last Name. Growing up I only ever referred to my teachers by their last name.

Always last name. I have a few family members who are teachers and that still seems to be the standard around here.

I was very surprised when my son came home after his first week of elementary school last week referring to his teacher by her first name! When I was a kid it was Mrs. Last Name. At daycare it's all first names too.

I always called teachers Mr./Mrs. Last name. I teach in a middle school and I am called Mrs. Last name. At my son's preschool, the teachers just go by their first names, and don't even use Miss! I don't love that. I always put a Miss in front of their names...

We have some teachers that go by Miss Firstname, often those ladies are not married. I go by Ms. Mac which is a shortened version of my last name.

Always last name. Even M's preschool does this. My husband teaches high school and some of the teachers there let the kids use first names but he doesn't.

I always called teachers at school Ms or Mr Lastname. I have always been Ms or Mrs Lastname as a teacher except when I was Ms Firstname while teaching at a PreK-8 private school. There the teachers did a mix of both. I'm currently teaching as an adjunct at a local university and have asked students to simply call me by my first name. It's funny how many of them can't seem to do it. I always get emails with Professor or Mrs Lastname.

School teachers were Mr. & Mrs....extracurriculars were generally Miss or Mister First Name.

My preschool and pre-k kids are told they can call their teachers by their first names - I have told them they need to say Miss or Mister first name, and they do it.

Always their last name growing up, things have changed! LO's teachers last year when by Ms. First name and this year it's the same with one of her teachers but the other prefers Mrs. Last name. I think anyway, it's on her paperwork that way. She starts tomorrow so we will see how it plays out!

I was amazed that my son's Kindergarten teacher went by her first name with her students! Sometimes the kids called her Miss Firstname, but mostly they used her first name. That was really common in my area; all the teachers went by their first name.

I guess it's not a huge deal in today's society, but when I was growing up our teachers were on a completely different level. I called my teachers Mr. Tozzi or Mrs. Ilgner, and they were adults. I called my piano teacher Mrs. Lee, and even today when I visit her I have trouble calling her by her first name! But things have definitely changed because I taught at university one year, and the students all called me by my first name. I thought that maybe they were going to call me Professor Bee haha!
