I always wanted DS to have a sibling. During my pregnancy with S I said I didn't want more after that but then I lost her and decided to be pregnant one more time, but I was saying,"but this is IT!" </p> <p>But now DH and I talk about the possibility for one more maybe. Either adopt or wait a few years and ttc for another. Her birth was incredibly traumatic and I suffered (and continue to suffer) with depression and anxiety as a result. We talked about being one and done.</p> <p>Now nine months later, we waffle between 1-3. I really can't imagine never holding another newborn or never feeling another kick, but I also dread the thought of going through pregnancy/labor/recovery with a toddler at home. I'm also not sure when/if my mental health will return to "normal", so that is a factor too.</p> <p>In the end I just want what is best for our family, but also what is best for me personally.
