We met when I was 20 and he was 28. We were just in different places in our lives and while we had a really fun year of dating, it just wasn't going to work long term. He wanted to settle down and I was still in the college/party all the time stage. However, if I hadn't met him I wouldn't have met my DH! When we were 23 (and still happy), I told him that I wanted to be married by age 27, and he looked a bit nervous, haha. </p> <p>Ultimately, I broke it off because I didn't see us getting married. We really didn't have much in common (or the same taste in anything, music, movies, hobbies) and he didn't have much motivation/drive in his life. </p> <p>I did get married at age 27 to DH, and 6 years later (we're all 33), my ex is still not married. He was someone I would consider, but in the end it wasn't meant ot be and we both knew it.
