I teared up the first time she laughed and did a real smile, and when she first walked without falling.

First steps! He was 18 months and 1 week old. He was so far behind all of his friends and his cousin. So watching him take those first steps made my heart swell so much.

I only ever got emotional when LO1 took her first steps. She was 17 months old and they thought she may need surgery on her hips and this was just a couple of days before they were going to potentially cast her for 3 months. Thankfully that didn't need to happen but I started crying because I was so happy she was finally walking but so sad for what those future days could have held. I never cried over any other milestones from either LO, of course I was excited for the bigger ones though :)
