I think part of the reason I was able to have fun dating and look back on it fondly is that I was in no rush to find "the one" and get married, and I don't think the ultimate purpose of a relationship or dating needs to be a serious relationship or marriage. If I felt like I needed to settle down and find the right one, or didn't think just dating was "enough", then it probably wouldn't have been as much fun! At the time, I felt like I would never have a "serious" boyfriend and I had the usual dating-related dramas -i.e., wondering whether the guy would call. But looking back I'm like, yeah, that was fun! I also was living in London from the ages of 22-26, so that made things more interesting, dating-wise. But, I will say that I feel like most people do not enjoy dating. Most all of my friends absolutely hated the stress of it all. I guess it's not for everybody, and I do think it gets much harder the older you get.
