Maybe bigger companies? I definitely plan to email from home and maybe do some calls. I am a psychologist and will be at 4 schools next year, supervising the entire counseling program at 2 of them and a team of counselors at a 3rd soo there are a lot of questions that issues that I will need to stay on top of since I am only taking 6 weeks leave. About a week before I went back I started reading notes from weekly meetings. The Friday before I returned I went in and met with my boss since he was leaving for a two week vacation. He made it clear that I didn't need to but I wanted to understand prioritization of projects. Plus it gave me a chance to practice pumping. </p> <p>This time around I have a subordinate that is technically strong but pretty high maintenance. I anticipated that she will be texting me frequently. Now she's taking over a high profile project for me at a very difficult point. When my boss and I discussed my coverage months ago she was to take a small, defined part of it and he was going to take the lead. After walking my boss through all I do earlier in the week (which he should have already known) he backed out of his offer to cover. So I have 4 days to get her ready.
