I waited to tell my dad on his birthday (NYE) so we could sign the card from the four of us. We recorded it, and you can see it in his eyes when he realized what he was reading!</p> <p>Around 8 weeks, we told everyone else. We had Chloe wear a big sister shirt and it took my nana f-o-r-e-v-e-r to figure it out. I was somewhat in the same boat.</p> <p>I had 2 miscarriages before we had LO, so I just quietly told my parents and siblings and DH quietly told his parents and brother. Also, the beginning of the 2nd tri came at the same time that we found out my dad was terminally ill, so it didn't feel right to celebrate anything.</p> <p>We told my parents by showing them the ultrasound video. His parents were told over Skype. I found a poem from "baby", printed it on nice paper, framed and wrapped it and put it under the tree for our Yankee Swap. It was SO hard to wait for them to arrive in the mail! But on FB I just posted a "hooray I'm pregnant" with one of those pregnancy tickers. </p> <p>The second we just called family, and I didn't even mention on FB till after we'd lost it because it never got past 5 weeks. (I chose to be really open about my losses and blogged about them and stuff.)</p> <p>The most recent we actually lived in the same city as family, so I told my mom in person on Christmas morning. DH also told his dad and stepmom that day, since we were going to WV with them and I didn't want them asking why I wasn't drinking or anything. We called the rest of the parents after we got home from WV, and posted on fb shortly after with this picture. :) Hopefully when we have a second, we'll be able to do something cute as a 'big brother/sister" thing.
