I started a dance and gym combo class at 3 and specialized in gym starting at 5. I trained three days a week and had competitions on the weekends. I loved it! So, 7 or 8. Then they told me I was way too tall in the 4th grade. I wish my parents had kept me in it for fun ahyhow, I was great on the bars! Unfortunately I haven't found a program I like anywhere in so cal... So he's doing a Crossfit class I started. I think I was around 4 when I started, and I only did it for 2 or 3 years. I'm glad I did though! I *loved* gymnastics and competed until I was in junior high . . . by that time, I had hit 5'7", and it was getting harder to throw the big tricks like my smaller more compact teammates! Also, I managed to escape before I suffered too many injuries . . . a lot of my friends weren't so lucky. Wish my mom would have made us stick with it. It was fun but I was actually behind because most of the girls in my class started at age 2.</p> <p>If I have a little girl one day she will do gymnastics and probably dance too!
