The tech at our first u/s said she thought it was a boy. We didn't tell anyone because it was early. Then at our next scan she said it was a girl! At the next u/s I had all three people (student, tech, MD) tell us it was a girl. It wasn't until then (24 weeks) that we told anyone. I really thought and hoped it would be a girl, but I've been convinced by the evidence that it's not. It's probably a little different with a boy vs. girl, because with a boy there's something *to* see, as opposed to the absence of seeing something. But we found out first by blood test (MT21) and then at an ultrasound, they saw visual proof. And in the end, they were right and mother's intuition was wrong. But we went with it, told our entire family we were having a girl at Christmas and lo and behold at the 20 week scan we're looking at boy parts. (We were both shocked and DH even more so. He was completely convinced we were having a girl.) So am I uncertain? Yep!
