I couldn't STAND eggs in my first trimester. The smell, the look (especially of scrambled eggs). It made me gag to even think about them! I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant, and have yet to have the egg aversion. As long as eggs are fully cooked through, I think they're fine. The egg and carb combination needed to be in my belly within 20 minutes of waking up or I would be dead on the side of the highway. I did have a mild egg aversion (probably just because I was sick of them) for about a month, but they never made me sick or anything. I have been eating a lot of hard boiled eggs and egg salad lately since its so hot out! I found that the risk from well-sourced eggs was almost nothing, so I ate raw (chocolate mousse, cesaer salad) and runny eggs my whole pregnancy. Fwiw, I have a scrambled egg aversion all the time, so I mostly ate my eggs hard-boiled or over easy. Deviled eggs were one of my favorite KU snacks! I could not first trimester. I resumed the daily consumption second trimester. Not that it's related but turns out LO is allergic to eggs.
