I absolutely loved our bonding time together and our little routine. I hated the family drama around the inlaw visits and how my hard earned PTO time was disrespected by them. The first 6 weeks were rough for me - looking back I think I had a mild PPD relating to breastfeeding struggles. I took 5.5 months off and it was overall one of the happiest times in my life. I loved being at home with my daughter. I loved laying on the couch and staring at her after she ate. I loved holding her, smelling her, singing to her and watching her grow.
