My mother was very vocal about not liking a certain boyfriend... some friends I could tell were struggling with not knowing how to talk to me about it. After we broke up they were all like THANK GOD. We all knew he wasn't good enough for you. Kinda made me a little mad, but looking back I am soooo glad I didn't end up with him. My ex I was with for 2 years. I was in so deep and just in a terrible cycle. He was emotionally and physically abusive. He even held a gun to my head several times but I couldn't ever leave.
