We were walking home from school and this guy just stepped out of some bushes across the street and didn't have pants on. We ran home and locked ourselved on our back porch (we were actually locked out of the house) and grabbed BBQ utensils to protect ourselves. We called the police and a state trooper was there at the bus stop for the next few days. </p> <p>My great-great-great-grandmother actually had more stranger danger experiences than I did. We have a story written down by one of her children. </p> <p>'The road she traveled was a dirt road lined on both sides by fences. One evening a man stepped out from behind some bushes along the fence row and said something to her about being alone. She said," No, I am not alone." He said, "But I don't see anyone else." She replied, "I am never alone," meaning the Lord was always with her. Just then her grandfather appeared in his buggy. Her grandfather asked the man what he was doing there, and he pleaded he wasn't going to hurt her. A few days later, however, the man was caught molesting a child.'</p> <p>Craziness. A car pulled into the house late (9 pm or so) and there was 2 women at our door. Usually we would hid and pretend no one was home but since all the lights were on it was pretty obvious people were there. They asked to use our phone and they were in our house for awhile, my mom and dad had never been more mad as us when we told them. But when I was in university, a guy tried to break into my apartment and my roomate and I were using our body weight to keep the door shut, and both of us were holding kitchen knives! The guy kept yelling at us, trying to break in! We called the cops and when they came, the guy was passed out at our doorway. As it turns out, the guy was soooooooo drunk, he thought he was home to find two random girls in HIS apartment! LOL! But I was in college so I wasn't a little kid. I yelled at the guy and asked him who the F he was. He informed me that he was "nobody" and booked it out of my house. We immediately started crying, and some guy drove by and saw us. He slowed down his car and stopped, and then offered to drive us to school. We said yes. </p> <p>Here's the brilliant part of all this: we had never seen him before in our lives!! But we were so desperate to get to school that we got in his car. The whole time we were going there, I was scared that he would try to kill us. But he just dropped us off. Turned out he was our friend's dad, and knew us from seeing us all play out on the streets.</p> <p>That was my main experience with stranger danger. But from the story that Bee tells, she experienced a million times more stranger danger! Scary stuff...</p> <p>Did you ever experience "stranger danger" growing up? How did you handle it? </p>
