If it comes up I don't have a problem with telling people about it. All of my friends are very anti-CIO and have said how it creates trust issues, it's cruel, it's neglectful, etc. It worked for my son though. With my daughter, it worked for a little while but long term really only responded to it for naps. My mom felt I should let my kids cry as little babies and I was not into it at all. I got told all the time by random people to let them CIO. We did a sleep routine (bath, book, bed), we coslept, I nursed throughout the night. Working full time my coworkers thought I was nuts and wanted me to sleep train/CIO. I knew it wasn't right for us.<br /> DS is 14 months, tells me he wants to go to bed and sleeps all night like a dream.<br /> Trust your mommy instinct. I have a group of friends that consists of 6 moms and we e-mail each other throughout the week. I've noticed that the exchanges between the hard core CIO moms and attachment parenting moms who find CIO cruel have resulted in underlying tension. Has anyone experienced something similar? I'm surprised considering we all get along otherwise! </p>
