I was 20. Does that even count? I was still living at home with my parents, and it was the summer before my senior year. I had a huge fight with them and was entirely fed up. I packed my bags and left in the middle of the night. I didn't leave a note and turned off my phone for the rest of the week. I've been on my own ever since. It was a stressful ordeal. I had to figure out how to pay for my last year of tuition, and there were money issues with my parents.
