Sob. </p> <p>At my initial consultation, the ortho asked my dad if I had ever been in a severe car accident because my jaw was 'severely disformed'. I finally got Invisalign a few years ago and it was expensive, but made such a difference and I feel so much better about my smile now. I stopped wearing the retainers after I had my wisdom teeth out and they have shifted again, just a little, so now I need to go back a few aligners and re-straighten them out. I'm dreading it.<br /> DH had braces too, but he got the bar on the back of his teeth so they never shifted and are still perfectly straight. I had major overcrowding and a gap between my teeth. I had them for 3 years. Unfortunately i was awful about wearing my retainer so my bite has slowly gone forward. I wanted braces as a kid cause all my friends had them, but my dentist said I didn't need them. I wore that horrible thing day and night for three months and was out of it in time for school. Then I had braces for two years. I still have a bit of crowding on the bottom. Maybe I'll get Invisalign when we're done having babies.</p> <p>DH has perfect teeth naturally. Lucky man.</p> <p>How about you? Braces? Retainers? Headgear? </p>
