It was filthy and unsanitary, it had rats, and was crazy overpriced for the worst food ever. And the owner was a sleeze. And he would park his car a few blocks away and watch us work out on the patio for hours every afternoon. So creepy. She was a SAHM her whole life and she did that after they moved to the US so she could draw SS after 10 years and retire.</p> <p>I don't think she "liked it", but she still shops at Walmart more than any other place! We want tons of breadsticks, stat!" the OG rule is to bring one breadstick per person + 1. So a table of 4 gets 5 breadsticks...and our manager would actually enforce that and you'd get in trouble if you brought more. So even if they wanted MORE breadsticks ASAP, you had to drop the first 5 breadsticks and wait for them to request more....</p> <p>There were a million rules like that and I've heard some OGs don't really enforce the rules but ours did, and it just made it difficult because you were constantly running back and forth to retrieve things that it would take longer to take people's orders, so they would get mad, and it would snowball.</p> <p>Like dude...let me use my judgment. If the table flat out tells you, "we eat tons of breadsticks", let me just bring them 10 breadsticks to keep them busy for longer than 3 minutes. But we would get a mark on our "record" if we did that. (eye roll). Totally dumb.</p> <p>Same with the salads, same with soups. I worked at Olive Garden for just 3 months in college and wouldn't eat there for like 3 years afterward. But I worked at Outback in HS and loved going back to eat there, haha. </p>
