I wasn't told to fast, but also had read stories about false positives because people ate X, Y, or Z thing beforehand so I didn't want to take a chance. I did. I think they said water was fine. I was pretty nauseous from HG so I wasn't eating much anyway. After I took the sugary drink, I did want to throw up and they let me have a cup of ice water. It was in the afternoon and I'd had a carb heavy lunch and totally failed it. I did have to fast for the 3 hour test.<br /> With my second I went early in the morning and maybe had an egg or something. When I arrived I was told I was supposed to have not had anything for 1 hour. The assistant in my OB's office told me not to eat an hour before my appointment, but then when I called to verify, a different person told me not to eat anything from midnight the night before. That doesnt add up to me. I'll be starving ifI wake up and have to wait til my blood is taken around noon to eat.<br /> Did any of you experience this fasting? </p>
