One time he wouldn't wake up so the nurse told us to undress him. We usually had to get her naked wake her. For the second two weeks we pushed it to 5 hours at nigtht if she didn't wake on her own. That's what I did. It was always such a pain though. It was hard to keep her latched on. She always wanted to fall asleep *while* she was eating, so we were constantly poking at her to keep her eating. The hospital staff was pretty adamant about nursing frequently or they'd supplement so I made sure I did it and wrote it down. You really shouldn't wait anymore than 3 hours this early on.
